CMCC Support of PR Campaign Recognized

The Foundation for Chiropractic Progress, the nonprofit organization created by Foot Levelers CEO Kent Greenawalt to maximize public awareness of the benefits of chiropractic care, recently recognized Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College for its continued support of the foundation's PR campaign. CMCC has donated $3,000 annually to the campaign since 2009.

"The CMCC community takes great pride in supporting the F4CP campaign," said Dr. Jean Moss, CMCC president. "We believe it is essential to display our dedication to an organization equally devoted to bringing positive attention to the chiropractic community."

"It is very encouraging to have the support of a prestigious organization outside of the U.S. – it confirms the expansive reach and impact of our campaign," added Greenawalt.

A Radio Show for Dr. Mancini

Dr. Fabrizio Mancini, former president of Parker University and the author of The Power of Self-Healing, definitely isn't resting on his laurels after retiring from the university only months ago. Dr. Mancini recently announced he is launching a new radio talk show to help educate the masses on the importance of health and wellness. The weekly show will feature experts who will help listeners learn "how to live the life of their dreams." For additional information, watch a short video from Dr. Mancini at http://drfabnews.com.

WFC Congress in April

The World Federation of Chiropractic's Silver Anniversary Congress takes place next month in Durban, South Africa, hosted by the Chiropractic Association of South Africa. So, are you registered yet? According to the WFC, this is your chance to combine attendance at an historic meeting with a once-in-a-lifetime vacation to one of the most beautiful places in the world.

"As [with] the last Congress in Rio, the pre-Congress seminars are proving very popular," commented WFC Secretary General David Chapman-Smith, "but there are still places available." One- and two-day seminars are available for only $65 per day from world authorities including Dr. Lindsay Rowe (imaging), Dr. Joyce Miller (pediatrics), Dr. Tom Hyde (Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehabilitation, Provocation and Motion – FAKTR), Dr. Chris Colloca (instrument adjusting), Dr. Kevin Jardine (taping, rehab) and Dr. Craig Morris (golf).

The Silver Anniversary Congress takes place April 10-13 and already boasts nearly 400 registered attendees. For additional information or to register for the event, visit www.wfc.org/congress2013.

First Trailer From "Pain in America" Released

Donald Barrett, producer-director of "Pain in America," the latest documentary exposing the health care crisis and suggesting the real potential for chiropractors to provide a cost-effective, natural solution, has announced that the first trailer from the upcoming film was presented at Parker Seminars Las Vegas in January. According to Barrett, the trailer "was well-received and only hints at the final show – which actually may develop into a six-show mini-series."

For background information on the documentary, now titled "Pain in America: The Silver Tsunami" (referencing the baby boomer population, which will require increasingly greater health care attention in the coming years), read "New Documentary to Highlight Chiropractic as a Key Part of the Solution" in the October 2012 issue.
