Gotlib Awarded Order of Canada

Canadian Chiropractic Association Director of Research Programs and Journal of the Canadian Chiropractic Association Editor, Dr. Alan Gotlib, recently received the prestigious Order of Canada. Dr. Gotlib is now a Member of the Order of Canada, recognizing his achievements in the health care field.

Governor General David Johnston announced the appointment on June 29 – one of 70 such awards bestowed that day. The complete list of award recipients is available online at www.gg.ca/honours.

Dr. Gotlib's contributions to chiropractic and health care over the past two-plus decades include facilitating the profession's university-based research chairs and professorships, as well as the Consortium of Canadian Chiropractic Research Centres. Currently, he is president of the Canadian Chiropractic Research Foundation.

In addition to his latest honor as a Member of the Order of Canada, Dr. Gotlib is the recipient of several of the chiropractic profession's highest honors, including the Canadian Chiropractic Association Medal of Merit, the Ontario Chiropractic Association's Chiropractor of the Year award; and the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College Homewood Professorship.
